You understand the pattern.
So why does it keep happening?
You’ve done the thinking. Maybe even the therapy. And yet you still find yourself overthinking, shutting down, putting everyone else first, or repeating things you promised yourself you’d do differently.

You’re really good at getting through things.
Maybe too good. And lately, something isn’t working anymore.
From the outside
- You’re the capable one. The dependable one.
- You say “I’m fine,” because stopping long enough to figure out whether you actually are can feel almost impossible.
On the inside
- More reactive.
- More exhausted.
- Pulling away, or losing yourself in relationships.
You’re not looking for another explanation. You’re ready for something to be different.

How I Work
We can get curious about what keeps pulling you back.
I don’t assume I know what something means simply because I’m the therapist.
Sometimes talking about it isn’t enough. My work can move beyond conversation into deeper, experiential and body-based approaches when that’s useful.
Questions we might sit with
- Where did you learn this?
- What has it been doing for you?
- What happens in your body before you even have words for it?
- What might your anger, shutdown, anxiety, or need for control be trying to tell us?
I bring clinical expertise to the room. You’re the expert on you. We need both.
You can disagree with me, say no, or tell me to slow down. Understanding why something developed doesn’t mean excusing the ways it may be hurting you or someone you love.
Learn More About My ApproachWhat Could Shift
What if you had more room to choose?
This isn’t about never feeling angry, anxious, or overwhelmed again. Those things are going to happen.
It’s about having more room to choose what happens next.
Maybe that means saying no without spiraling into guilt. Staying in a hard conversation instead of shutting down. Owning your part without collapsing.
Feeling more like yourself instead of becoming better at performing “fine.”
Focused + Extended Formats
Focused + extended ways to work together
Therapy intensives are the signature format here, giving us more uninterrupted time than a traditional therapy hour.
Not sure an intensive is the right fit? That’s okay. I’ll tell you if I don’t think it is.
How New Clients Begin
Know what you’re saying yes to.
You don’t have to decide what kind of therapy you need before we talk. That is what the consultation is for.
For new individual and couples clients, we use that first conversation to figure out which format actually fits. I’ll tell you what I recommend rather than handing you a standing appointment and letting it run.
Depending on what is happening, that may be:
- an Individual Intensive
- the Individual Focused Therapy Series, when there is one clearly defined focus
- a Couples Intensive
- a family, group, or other pathway where that fits better
- focused work alongside a therapist you already see
- a referral to another clinician or to ongoing care elsewhere
However it takes shape, you’ll know what is being recommended, how much time it involves, what it includes, what it costs, and what happens when it is finished, before we begin.

In-Person Care
I offer in-person care in San Antonio and New Braunfels, with virtual care available across Texas, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado. Children, teens, adults, couples, and families may be seen in either location when clinically appropriate, with New Braunfels offering a space that is especially adaptable for younger children and family work.

Areas of Focus
Sometimes more than one thing is happening.
Enough of you wants something to be different.
That’s enough to start.
FAQ
Common Questions
Not even close. Most people start because something isn't working the way they want it to, not because they've got a tidy diagnosis in hand. A consultation is just a conversation.
No, this is a private-pay practice, and I don't offer superbills. It's a real consideration, and I want to be upfront about it rather than let it surprise you later.
You don't need to decide that on your own. Intensives are my primary pathway for new individual and couples clients, but they aren't right for everyone. If I think another format, or another provider, would serve you better, I'll tell you.
The core approach is the same, but couples work draws on additional relational modalities like EFT, Relational Life Therapy, and Discernment Counseling principles, tailored to what's actually happening between you.
In-person intensives are available by appointment at two San Antonio offices: Luzia Therapy Suites in the Medical Center and North Central areas. New Braunfels appointments at The Sparrows Collective are available by appointment. Virtual intensives, groups, and retreats remain available throughout Texas, Oregon, Washington and Colorado. Your specific office location will be confirmed when your appointment is scheduled.
